A collection of Ao Dai - Vietnamese traditional women's dress - will be on show during the Vietnamese Culture Week in neighbouring Cambodia, due to begin on August 28.

Vietnamese designer Vo Viet Chung will present his 60 latest creations on the occasion. He said the main material for the collection is My A smooth satin like most of his Ao Dai collections.

The artist will also bring his My A satin creations to the Shanghai Fashion Week in September. Mr Chung will participate in the Singaporean Fashion Week in November to showcase 100 of his creations.

Mr Chung is well-known for reviving the economy of his hometown, the Tan Chau traditional silk village in the southern province of An Giang, by only using the village's weaving products, My A satin and Tan Chau silk, to create his works.

The Vietnam UNESCO Association granted the 36-year-old designer a UNESCO insignia last month for his valuable contributions to Vietnam’s Ao Dai traditional dress making.
