Strong chess players compete in HCM City
(VOV) - As many as 47 players, including 23 males, began competitions in a national tournament in Ho Chi Minh City on November 29.
They are vying for the men’s and women’s singles titles in the Swiss format.
The tournament aims to increase professional skills for leading national chess players and choose the best athletes for the national team to take part in international competitions in 2013.
Meanwhile, the National Chinese Chess Players Tournament will be held in the northern province of Quang Ninh on December 10-18.
