Mai Phuong departs Miss World talent contest in Top 23
VOV.VN - Vietnamese representative Huynh Nguyen Mai Phuong has bowed out of the Top 23 of Miss World’s talent contest.
Health issues was given as the reason why her performance of “Pray” was not as good as expected.
The song was produced by music producer DTAP and was previously performed by Phuong at a send-off ceremony before she flew to India for the competition. The Vietnamese beauty also wrote a rap verse for the song.
Previously, Mai Phuong had also been named among the Top 25 in the Head To Head Challenge, however, she could not make the Top 5 of the category.
The 71st Miss World pageant is taking place in New Delhi and Mumbai, with the prestigious event attracting around 112 contestants. The grand finale is due to be held on March 9 in Mumbai.
In recent years, local representatives have gained several prizes at the Miss World pageant. Indeed, Luong Thuy Linh reached the Top 12 in 2019 and Do Thi Ha was placed among the Top 13 finalists in 2021.
