Nine delegations will be sent to 20 provinces and cities nationwide from May 2-19 to inspect preparations for the upcoming 12th National Assembly election.

The missions are expected to inspect reports on the results of the third consultative conference, the organisation of meetings between candidates and voters, the implementation of campaign rights and the posting of lists of candidates.

They will also look into the settlement of complaints regarding candidates on the election campaign trail, the availability of information about the polls and opinions and proposals raised by local voters themselves.

The delegations will visit areas such as Hanoi, Kien Giang, Soc Trang, An Giang, Dong Thap, Cao Bang, Lang Son, Tay Ninh, Binh Phuoc, Lam Dong, Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Phu Tho, Binh Dinh, Quang Ngai, Nam Dinh, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Lai Chau and Dien Bien.

From April 10-29, the National Assembly Standing Committee, the National Assembly Election Council, the Government and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee worked together to send 10 similar delegations to 20 other localities to examine election preparations.
