Ho Chi Minh City has drawn US$1.6 billion in foreign investment, an annual increase of 17.3 percent.

The city welcomed 349 new investment projects worth US$1.36 billion in total, and an additional inflow of US$245 million into existing projects.

 
The industrial sector has 111 operational projects valued at US$259.4 million while the property and consultation sector has 159 projects worth US$965 million. There are 42 construction projects worth US$ 39.6 million, 17 transport projects (US$ 5.4 million), and four culture and sportsprojects (US$ 93.8 million).

Businesses of the Republic of Korea have 118 projects with a combined value of US$811 million, Singapore (37 projects, US$290 million) and the British Virgin Islands (16 projects, US$158.9 million).
