Japanese martial arts performed in Hanoi
(VOV) - A performance of Aikido was held at Hanoi’s Foreign Trade University on January 27-28.
The event was one of sports activities to mark the 40th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic ties (1973-2013).
The performance drew the participation of famous Japanese master Hiroyuki Sakurai and more than 200 martial artists from Aikido clubs in Hanoi.
Since entering Vietnam 50 years ago, Aikido has become popular in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and many other localities.
Over the last ten years it has been practised by thousands of people in 10 clubs in Hanoi alone.
