The Party and State have always paid special attention to social policy families and those who rendered great services to the nation, said Vice NA Chairman Nguyen Duc Kien.

Mr Kien made the statement while receiving a delegation of war veterans, heroic Vietnamese mothers and wounded soliders from southern province of Kien Giang in Hanoi on June 29.

At the reception, the Vice NA Chairman expressed his gratitude to the delegates who have devoted their lives to the country. He hoped that the province’s heroic Vietnamese mothers, wounded soldiers and social policy beneficiaries would continue to promote the revolutionary tradition, helping to build a rich and beautiful nation.

On behalf of the delegation, deputy director of the provincial department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Quoc Hung briefed Mr Kien on the implementation of policies for wounded soliders, war veterans and relatives of martyrs in the province.

Since the beginning of the year, Kien Giang has built and repaired 737 houses for social policy families and held reburial services for 292 martyrs who sacrificed their lives for their country in Phu Quoc prison.
