All four Vietnamese students were awarded at the 40th International Chemistry Olympiad, according to the contest’s official website.

The two gold medals went to 11 grader Vu Minh Chau from the Hanoi National University’s high school and Bui Tuan Linh from the Hanoi Amsterdam high school who ranked ninth among students achieving highest points.

 

The two bronze medals were given to Pham Anh Tuan, also from the Hanoi National University’s high school, and Chu Thi Ngoc Anh from the Tran Phu high school for gifted students in northern Hai Phong city.

 

As many as 162 students were awarded at the competition held in Hungary from July 12-21. Of them, 30 won gold medals, 53 silver medals and 79 bronze medals, wile 10 others received certificates of merit.
