The United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) will assist central Quang Nam province to revive two craft villages, announced the provincial People's Committee on April 4.

According to the plan, the UN organisations will fund US$1 million for a project to restore and develop the traditional rattan and bamboo weaving craft of Tam Vinh and Duy Son village.
The project will help train skilled workers and develop a strategy on pattern renewal.
It will start this year and last until 2009.
