A week-long expo opened in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho on August 29, attracting 409 domestic and foreign participants, including 29 enterprises from China, Australia, Singapore, Thailand and Japan.

The participants introduced their information technology products, food and foodstuff capacity, and machinery for construction and transport, agricultural and industrial production.

During the expo, a seminar on orientations to develop IT and communications in the Mekong Delta region in the 2006-2010 period will be held by the Ministry of Post and Telematics, and a seminar on raising products' competitiveness by the Can Tho Science and Technology Department.
