As many as 50 Vietnamese businesses are showcasing their products at the 50th Autumn Fair 2006 which opened in Liege in the Wallonne region of Belgium on September 23.

The Vietnamese businesses, operating in the processing of farm and forest products, foodstuffs, and the production of fine art handicrafts, are accompanied by a number of businesspeople who came to seek trade partners and conduct market surveys.

Present at the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Diep Kinh Tan expressed his hope that cooperation between Vietnam and Belgium, especially in trade, would benefit from the exchange.

On behalf of the organising board, the Vice Permanent Governor of Liege province said he expected Belgian and Vietnamese enterprises to do business in the fields of economics, trade, agriculture and forestry during this fair.

A Vietnam-Belgium business seminar will be held during the fair.
