Vietnamese-funded functional rehabilitation facilities opened in Vientiane, Laos, on August 15.

Presence at the inauguration ceremony were Lao Health Minister Pomek Dalaloy and Vietnamese ambassador to Laos Nguyen Huy Quang.

A VND1 billion project to build these facilities was announced during State President Nguyen Minh Triet’s visit to Lao in March 2007.

Minister Pomek Dalaloy thanked the Vietnamese government and people for the significant gift, which he said will help the Lao handicapped with functional rehabilitation.
