The Committee acknowledged the increasing efforts by sectors and localities as well as initial results in the fight over the past three months, helping consolidate people’s trust in the Party and State’s determination to combat corruption.
The committee singled out the establishment of special task forces in charge of drawing up anti-corruption plans and enforcing those strategies as a major success.
Committee members said the enforcement of the Law on Corruption Prevention and Control and the Party resolution supporting it were concrete steps towards raising public awareness of the issue.
They agreed that in the second quarter, information dissemination campaigns should be increased and a new initiative to practice thrift and prevent wastefulness should be put in place.
They believed that the implementation of regulations on transparency, public information sharing and responsibilities of agency heads would reinforce renewed efforts to inspect and investigate cases of suspected corruption.
