More than 400 people will work together to paint a public mural at Thong Nhat Park in Hanoi on July 20.

Participants in the programme, including people with disabilities, workers, students, volunteers and foreigners, will attend a two-day painting workshop and then spend one day painting the mural.

The public art project is part of the Circle Painting Vietnam programme jointly run by overseas Vietnamese artist Nguyen Cao Hiep, volunteer group Circle of Friends, Scorp Media and Vietnam Television (VTV).

Circle painting is a collaborative and performance-based painting process originally initiated in 1999 by artist Nguyen Cao Hiep with the aim of bringing people together to make beautiful and meaningful work of art.

Circle painting projects have developed in different cities of the US, Australia and other Southeast Asian nations.
