Vietnamese weightlifter Thach Kim Tuan will leave Vietnam in the next two weeks to compete at the World Weightlifting Championships in France and the 26th SEA Games in Indonesia.
According to his coach Huynh Huu Chi, Tuan will attend the world event on November 5 and the regional competition on November 18.
High hopes are pinned on Tuan to claim the gold medal at the 26th SEA Games and take his place at the 2012 London Olympics.
As scheduled, Tuan’s rival at the upcoming SEA Games is an Indonesian athlete who comprehensively outperformed Vietnamese teammate Hoang Anh Tuan at the previous Games in Laos.
