The German Organisation for Technical Cooperation (GTZ)’s project has completed a 10-year project, helping Vietnam build a State auditing agency and strengthen its operations.
Speaking at a ceremony to summarise the results of the GTZ project in Hanoi on January 14, Chief State Auditor Vuong Dinh Hue said that the project has made important contributions to building a law on state auditing, thus creating a legal framework for state auditing agencies’ organisation and operations.
Auditing methods have been improved thanks to the project, he added.
The project was implemented between March 1998 and January 1 with a total investment capital of EUR4.5 million funded by the German government.
