Singapore Deputy Commander visits Vietnam
(VOV) -Lieutenant General Tran Quang Khue, Deputy Commander in Chief of the Vietnam People’s Army General Staff, received Singaporean Ministry of Defence’s Training and Doctrine Deputy Commander Colonel Wong Yu Han in Hanoi on August 13.
They praised the progress made in the two countries’ relations and national defence cooperation.
They agreed on the need for military ties to keep pace with economic and cultural exchanges as an official strategic cooperation partnership draws near.
Both host and guest committed to continuing visit exchanges and boosting cooperation in English language training.
The Singaporean colonel also shared his experience in United Nations peacekeeping operations and encouraged the Vietnam People’s Army to contribute to the organisation’s deployments.
