Vietnam’s business and investment opportunities have been introduced at a workshop held in Toronto, Canada, with the participation of 50 big Canadian businesses.
Participants discussed Vietnam’s business environment, investment opportunities, its legal system and its adjustments after the country joined the World Trade Organisation. They also touched upon the economic cooperation between Vietnam and regional and international markets.
They said that similar workshops will be held in other big Canadian cities like Montreal and Vancouver in the coming time.
Many authorities from Ontario province, Vietnamese Ambassador to Canada Nguyen Duc Hung and General Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City Bill Johnston also joined the discussions.
Trade between Canada and Vietnam has constantly increased in recent times, reaching more than US$1 billion in 2007.
