Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia unveiled a border marker erected at a joint crossroads between the three countries at a ceremony on January 18.
Participants at the event included Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister Dao Viet Trung, Cambodian Border Minister Varkimhong, Lao Deputy Foreign Minister Phongsavat Buppha, and authorities and people of the Vietnamese province of Kontum, the Lao province of Attapu, and the Cambodian province of Rattanakiri.
Representatives of the three governments agreed that the marker visually defines the borders between Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia as agreed in the previously signed border agreements.
The border marker made of granite was planted on a mountain at an altitude of 1,086m above sea level.
