Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has given the go-ahead to free legal aid for the poor and ethnic minorities in low-income districts as part of the ongoing plan to 2020.
Apart from legal aid, the plan will ensure requires that mobile legal services and legal-aid clubs are set up in communes to provide legal information.
Free courses, brochures, cassette tapes and audio CDs on Vietnam’s laws will be offered in Vietnamese and ethnic minority languages.
Cultural activities and festivals related to legal issues will also be held. The decision will come into effect on October 2.
