Vietnamese official greets Lao guest
Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and head of the Party Central Committee’s Mass Mobilisation Commission Truong Thi Mai hosted a reception for the visiting President of the Lao Women's Union Inlavanh Keobounphanh in Hanoi on April 7.
Inlavanh Keobounphanh thanked Vietnam for its wholehearted assistance to Lao people, and Lao women in particular.
She informed the host about the recent cooperation between the two countries’ women’s unions, affirming that the Lao Women's Union always works closely with its Vietnamese counterpart on friendship exchange activities, contributing to strengthening the Laos-Vietnam special relationship.
Mai spoke highly of the effective cooperation between the two unions, saying that the two sides should further step up their links through enhancing the sharing of experience, personnel training, and coordination in regional and international forums.
The host expressed her belief that the Lao Party, State and people will successfully implement the 10th Lao People’s Revolutionary Party Congress’s Resolution.
She also took the occasion to congratulate the Party and State leaders and people of Laos on their upcoming traditional New Year festival Bun Pi May.
