Central Highlands Kon Tum province on March 21 licensed Taiwan’s InnovGreen Kon Tum Company to build a tree plantation in the locality.

Accordingly, the company will invest around US$67 million in developing the plantation with the aim of serving local paper industry.

The plantation will be built on an area of 65,000ha, crossing 52 communes in Dak Glei, Dak Ha, Dak To, Kon Ray, Ngoc Hoi, Sa Thay and Tu Mo Rong districts and Kon Tum town.

The project, the largest of its kind in Kon Tum province so far, will be implemented from now until 2017.

In addition to the tree plantations, InnovGreen Kon Tum will cultivate seedlings, process wood, produce paper pulp and manage export and import activities.
