Search underway for missing fisherman in Quang Nam

VOV.VN -Border guards operating in the Cu Lao Chao Border Station stated on November 26 that they are currently beginning joint efforts with relevant units to search for a fisherman who has been reported missing off the coast of Quang Nam.

According to initial information regarding the missing man, a QNa 92482 TS fishing boat captained by Le Muoi was travelling towards Cu Lao Cham island at 1:00 on November 26 with nine crew members aboard. Upon the vessel’s arrival at 15.55 degrees north latitude and 108.47 degrees east longitude, the captain made the discovery that one of the crew’s fisherman was missing.

The fisherman was quickly identified as 51-year-old Nguyen Van Dung of Duy Nghia commune, Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province.

Upon receiving news of the disappearance, Quang Nam’s provincial Border Guard Command requested that Cua Dai Border Station join with local authorities to deploy several rescue boats, in addition to calling for the support of other fishing boats in the area to search for the missing fisherman.
