Prime Minister speaks on the importance of infrastructure

VOV.VN - This morning (Apr. 19), Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc took a trip to the southern province of Binh Thuan where he delivered a speech on the economy and the importance of improving infrastructure.

In the Prime Minister’s remarks, he talked about the importance of investing in new infrastructure technologies that would positively benefit millions of Vietnamese throughout the country.

Funding infrastructure projects helps our families, it fuels our economy, and it better positions Vietnamese for the future, the PM tells the audience.

There are more than 100 active projects across the country -- projects where workers as we speak are paving roads and rebuilding bridges and modernizing our transit systems, the PM notes.

These projects will lead the path to the creation of hundreds of thousands of jobs, many of them right here in the province of Binh Thuan, he adds.

That's why, earlier this year, he proposed to the National Assembly a plan that would rebuild the country’s infrastructure in a comprehensive and responsible way.

The Prime Minister says he wants everybody – all agencies at all levels of government – to work together with the private and civil society sectors on the issue of infrastructure improvement to help move this country forward.
