An international exhibition entitled "Safety and economic competition for nuclear electricity 2006" opened at the Cultural Palace in Hanoi on May 16.

Participants in the event are organisations from Vietnam and four countries with a developed nuclear electricity industry, namely France, Japan, Russia, and the Republic of Korea. They will introduce their experiences and latest achievements in the field, which aim to serve socio-economic development.

The exhibition, which will last through to May 19, presents a good opportunity for Vietnam to acquire precious experience before making decisions and policies on developing nuclear electricity in the coming time.
