The Prime Minister has signed a decision to continue to preserve and refurbish the U Minh Thuong historical cultural relic in the southern province of Kien Giang.
The Kien Giang provincial People’s Committee has been guided to plan to protect the environment and biosphere of the forest at the same time.
Also, the committee will work with the Ministries of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Finance, Planning and Investment to seek capital sources for the project.
The U Minh Thuong historical cultural relic is planned to cover over 230 hectares, including 200 hectares for the central area and nearly 32 hectares for 31 surrounding sites.
