“Choi Voi” (Adrift) is the first Vietnamese film to be sent to the Titanic Film Festival scheduled for April 8-18 in Hungry to compete with 61 films from 29 nations and territories in nine categories.

A representative from the organizing board, Vizer Balazs, said that he was very impressed by the film and its main actress Do Hai Yen.

Directed by Bui Thac Chuyen and produced by Feature Film Studio 1, the film tells the story of newlyweds Hai and Duyen, the complicated love between Duyen and Cam, her close girlfriend, and the carnal passion between Duyen and Tho, a sexually attractive man.

Over the past 17 years, the Titanic Film Festival has become integrated in the regional and international film festival circuit and its prizes are considered influential for independent films.
