Vietnam wants to boost long-term cooperation with Microsoft Corporation., said State President Nguyen Minh Triet while receiving Craig Mundie, Chief Technical Officer and Senior Vice President of Microsoft Corporation, in Hanoi on November 18.

Vietnam will create favourable conditions for Microsoft programmes to be implemented widely across the country and will enhance management to ensure its commitments on intellectual property rights, said Mr Triet.

The State President expressed his belief that Microsoft Corporation will enjoy more success in Vietnam thanks to the country’s rapid development.

Mr Mundie said that he is optimistic about Vietnam’s rapid and dynamic development in the future and that Microsoft Corporation will work closely with the Vietnamese Government and businesses to their mutual benefit. He said his group is keen to bring technological advances to rural areas, particularly products to protect people’s health and develop education in these areas.
