Nearly 400 local and foreign delegates from 52 countries gathered in Hanoi on April 5 for the 12th International Seminar of Forum UNESCO – University and Heritage.

The five-day forum, entitled “The Sceneries of Historical Cities”, is expected to offer an opportunity for Vietnamese researchers to learn about international experience in preserving the sceneries of historical urban centres in the country, according to Do Hau, Vice Rector of the Hanoi University of Architecture.

To promote the images of Hanoi and Vietnam in general, several photos and artifacts of cultural vestiges will be displayed and a documentary film entitled “Thang Long –   Ascending  Dragon City” will be screened.

The forum will be co-organised by UNESCO’s World Heritage Centre, the Hanoi People’s Committee, the Hanoi University of Architecture and Spain’s Valencia University of Technology.
