The festival is part of activities to mark Vietnam Day for the Handicapped 2006 (April 18).

According to the organising board, there will be an exhibition of pictures, objects and books about activities of the handicapped over the past 20 years of the renewal process. Agro-forestry products, handicrafts, and ornamental plants will be displayed in more than 120 pavilions.

On the occasion, there will be a programme of culinary arts, folk games and other cultural activities.

The event is organised by the Vietnam Association for the Handicapped, the Vietnam Association of Sponsors for the Handicapped and Orphans and the Vietnam Craft Village Association.
