Actress Viet Huong pays special visit to seniors

She regularly takes time off from her hectic schedule each month to meet with seniors and other disadvantaged people to bring a fresh smile and kindness.

More than any other group, Ms Huong says she enjoys special moments with older generations sharing simple conversations about everyday life, showing them someone cares. 

Her husband Hoai is always by her side.

During this trip, he sings and improvises a tune on his trumpet.

"One of the greatest pleasure of life is to bring happiness and laughter to others," he remarks.

"Visiting and talking with older generations gives them an outlet to share their life’s difficulties and provides me better insight into what makes them happy.”

Ms Huong works tirelessly for charitable causes— if not visiting the elderly you will likely find her dropping in on disadvantaged children in remote mountainous areas of the country.

No matter how busy her schedule, she always sets aside time for volunteer work. It’s a value inherited from her mother that she treasures.

She plans to work in the future to help raise money for bridges in areas of the country where travel is difficult to help children gain better access to schools.
