VOV.VN - Vietnamese child models will have numerous opportunities to showcase their talents through international fashion events held throughout the year after a three-year hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Vietnam International Junior Model contest is set to be the first version of a reality TV show held in Vietnam for both boys and girls who are passionate about fashion.

The programme will be broadcast in Vietnam, as well as four other countries including Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, and the Republic of Korea.

Pawee Ventura, CEO of Missosology, Erina Hanawa, Miss Tourism World 2022, Angelia Ong, Miss Earth 2015, Gunzaya Victoria, Miss Universe Mongolia 2019, and Michael Pelletier, Mister Grand International 2022, will serve as members of the judging panel at the event.

The contest is expected to attract around 6,000 Vietnamese children living both in Vietnam and abroad.

The first show is scheduled to take place in July. After 10 episodes, the best nine contestants in each group will be selected to progress to the final round.

Meanwhile, the third Vietnam International Junior Fashion Week will return to Hanoi on August 5 – 6, 2023 following the 2028 and 2019 seasons. With the theme of fashion and cultural promotion, the fashion week is set to offer the international public a new look at Vietnamese children's fashion.

According to designer Le Tran Dac Ngoc, the organiser of the event, the function will consist of many social activities aimed at protecting children's rights, upholding the role of education, assisting disadvantaged children, and helping young people to discover traditional ethnic culture.
