The concert Live for Love is part of the Vietnam Green Architecture Week held in October. It helps spread a message of going green and protecting the environment, according to art director Hoang Trong Thanh.

“We carefully prepared the sound and light system as well as the content of the programme to provide the best experience for the audience,” he said.

“We believe that music is a means to preserve love and transfer meaningful messages and emotions to people.”

Concert-goers will enjoy ballads, pop songs and Vietnamese folk music performed by Shayne Ward and leading Vietnamese singers such as Le Cat Trong Ly, Huong Tram, Trung Quan and Oplus band.

Ward was born in 1984. He found fame as the winner of the second series of The X Factor. His debut single, That’s My Goal, was released in the UK in 2005 and reached number one on the UK Singles Chart.

It sold 313,000 copies on its first day, making it the third fastest-selling single of all time in the UK, behind Elton John’s Candle in the Wind 1997 and Will Young’s Evergreen, which sold 685,000 and 400,000 copies on their first days, respectively.

Many songs performed by Ward became big hits such as No Promises, About You Know, Until You, Apologize, Breathless and Stand by Me.

He previously performed in Vietnam in 2008 and 2014. He will come to the Southeast Asian nation on October 4 to meet fans ahead of the concert.
