At the event, the host called for investment in 53 projects with a total capitalisation of VND11,2 billion during the 2009-2015 period.

According to the committee, local investment attraction has seen much progress in the past 3 years. The number of newly established businesses has increased by 42% since 2005 with registered capital rising 300%.

Gia Lai now has 2,640 businesses with a combined registered capital of VND12,4 trillion. This figure, however, is still far from fulfilling the province’s potential.

During the conference, investors committed nearly VND6 trillion to 15 projects. Businesses also contributed more than VND48 billion to a social security fund for poor people in Gia Lai.
