President commemorates late Party, State leaders ahead of Tet holiday

VOV.VN - State President Vo Van Thuong, on behalf of the Party and State, offered incense to commemorate late Party and State leaders in Hanoi on February 4 on the occasion of the 2024 lunar New Year holiday (Tet).

President Thuong offered incense to revolutionary Truong Chinh (1907-1988) who was Party General Secretary, Chairman of the State Council, Chairman of the National Assembly, and Chairman of the National Assembly Standing Committee.

President Thuong also offered incense to General Tran Dai Quang (1956-2018) who served as President of Vietnam from 2016-2018).

President Vo Van Thuong also paid Tet visits to former President Tran Duc Luong and former President Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

President Thuong wished the former leaders and their families good health, happiness and longevity in 2024 – the Year of the Dragon. He expected that the former leaders would continue to devote their wisdom and experience to national development if conditions permit.
