Lonely Planet lists Vietnam among 10 best graduation trips to take in 2024

Being both a massive accomplishment and a bittersweet end of an era, completing ones studies can also be a reality check as students begin the next phase of their life. However, Vietnam and many other places in the world serve as ideal destinations for a celebratory vacation.

According to Lonely Planet, the nation is affordable, beautiful, and warm, with a graduation trip to Vietnam serving to get travelers out of their comfort zone.

Being lost amid a sea of mopeds in Hanoi, slurping pho on stools along the sidewalk, and heading up to Halong Bay where travelers can tour its limestone islands on a junk boat, are all great activities for guests, the website wrote.

Topping the list is Mexico which is affordable and with a wealth of diverse things to do, meaning it is the perfect post-graduation escape. Elsewhere, taking a road trip across the United States with friends the perfect post-graduation send-off.

Other destinations to make Lonely Planet’s list include Greece, Costa Rica, New Orleans, Louisiana, New York City, South Africa, Iceland, and Italy.
