Man saved by a hair’s breadth at railroad crossing

VOV.VN - A railway guard risked his life on July 5 to save a man who fell on the tracks at a railroad crossing as an express train was approaching.

The incident occurred in the evening at a level crossing in Long Khanh city of Dong Nai province.

CCTV footage shows Trinh Van Tai, a railway guard, was seen to lower barriers at the level crossing to guarantee safety for the North-South train SE21 to pass through.

Suddenly, a man said to be drunk slipped through the barricade and fell right on the tracks. The guard was seen running towards the man, trying to pull him out of the danger area just before the speeding train arrived.

The drunken man came within a hair’s breadth of losing his life.

The railway guard was later rewarded for his bravery act by the Vietnam Railway.
