This was the first time the university's Vietnamese Language Department held the Vietnamese Cultural Day to introduce the culture and customs of Vietnam and the country's achievements during the 20-year renewal process.

During the two-day event, various forums on literature, traditional Vietnamese music and Vietnam's cultural development and integration took place with the participation of many Vietnamese and German professors, doctors and writers.

The film "Vietnam without wars" by Vietnamese-German director Phan Thi Minh Khai was also screened.
