State Vice President Truong My Hoa has described visits by the Australian Political Exchange Council delegation as necessary steps in promoting relations between the two countries.

Mrs Hoa made the comment while meeting with Anthony Albanese, Shadow Minister for Infrastructure and Water, in Hanoi on June 29, who was leading the council delegation on its 11th visit to Vietnam.

She said, “Since 1993, a programme on the exchange of visits between the council and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union that has run has contributed to mutual understanding between Vietnam and Australia, especially among the youth.”

In return, the Australian head delegate, said he was delighted at the development of bilateral relations in many fields.

He hoped that the exchange of high-level visits as well as the on-going visit by his delegation would contribute to a stronger development of bilateral relations.
