Vietnam and Macau have agreed to boost cooperation in labour, tourism, air transport, education and culture. The agreement was reached during talks in Macau on March 28 between Chief Executive Officer of China’s Macau Special Administrative Region Admund Ho Hau and visiting Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem.

The two officials affirmed that they attach importance to developing the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Macau and agreed to make further efforts to bring bilateral ties to a new height. They said the two sides should further promote the exchange of delegations at different levels, including those from administrative, legislative and judicial sectors and organisations to boost mutual understanding and lay the foundation for a stable and long-term partnership between Vietnam and Macau.

They added that they will encourage and create favourable conditions for businesses of the two sides to strengthen economic and commercial ties.

During the visit, Mr Khiem met with a number of major economic groups and businesses and visited several cultural organisations there.
