Tropical depression heads towards East Sea

VOV.VN - The National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting announced on November 24 that a tropical depression has formed in the eastern sea area south of the Philippines and is heading towards the East Sea.

The Centre forecast that it has maximum sustained wind speeds of 50km per hour and is tracking west and northwest at a speed of 15-20km per hour. If it enters the East Sea, this will be the eighth typhoon to hit Vietnam since the beginning of the year.

The Centre warned of severe floods in the rivers in localities from Quang Binh to Quang Ngai and the high risk of flash floods and landslides.
