Vietnamese students in Moscow join Open Badminton Champs

VOV.VN - Vietnamese students in Moscow have participated in the Police Forces’ Open Badminton Championships in response to the “Youth Month” to mark the 86th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26). 

The championships attracts the participation of more than 50 students from 12 youth union branches in different universities in Moscow.



Major General Truong Van Thong, chief representative of the Vietnam Ministry of Public Security in Moscow hoped the event will be held annually to strengthen connectivity between Russian students and ASEAN students who are studying in Russia. 


 Vietnamese and Russian athletes compete in the men’s and women’s singles and doubles events.



Ilya Karpenko, a student from Moscow State University of Civil Engineering noted that the event will promote the badminton movement among university students.

The organizing board awarded 12 first, second and third prizes to the winners.
