The Hue Central Hospital said on November 23 that it is planning to build a state-of-the-art tumour centre to meet the demands of local people in the Central and Central Highland regions.

The VND150 billion centre will have 300 beds and is expected to become the modernest of its kind in the country. Its equipment will be donated by the Austrian Government through a co-operation project.

Construction of the ward is scheduled to start in early 2009.
