At the reception, Ambassador Ma Chol Su said the Workers’ Party, headed by General Secretary Kim Jong Il, and the entire army and people are determined to successfully implement the national revolutionary cause and build a prosperous and peaceful DPRK.

The Workers’ Party, Government and people of DPRK always attach importance to the traditional solidarity and friendship between the DPRK and Vietnam and aim to further promote the relationship and cooperation between the two Parties, States and people, thus contributing to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the Asia-Pacific region and the world at large, he said.

For his part, Deputy Prime Minister Truong Vinh Trong confirmed that the Vietnamese Party, State and people now as in the past support the DPRK people’s revolutionary cause and believe that under the leadership of General Secretary Kim Jong Il, DPRK people would obtain greater achievements in the national construction and defence and in the implementation of national unification.

On this occasion, Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh sent a message of congratulations to General Secretary Kim Jong Il.
