Mr Kieu expressed his thanks to Ms Doan for warmly receiving the delegation and wished to further contribute to the country’s development. He briefed the Vice State President on RASS Company’s sponsorship activities in helping Miss World Zi Lin Zhang and Miss World Vietnam 2007 Teresa Sam conduct charity activities in Ha Tay province. The visit was also aimed at investing in Vietnam and promote Vietnam’s image to the world.

Ms Doan also highlighted the delegation’s charity activities, which help ease the pain of disadvantaged people in society. She also expressed her delight that charity activities have been expanded not only among local people but also overseas Vietnamese and international organizations. She also praised the journey to Vietnam by Miss World 2007 and gave credit to Julia Morley, Chairman of the Miss World Corporation for the idea of selecting Vietnam as a location to organise Miss World pageant by 2010.

The same day, Miss World 2007 Zi Lin Zhang and Miss World Vietnam 2007 Teresa Sam attended a ceremony to present houses and gifts to the poor in Soc Son district, Hanoi. RASS Company from the US and the Red Cross Society helped build 15 charity houses worth more than VND43 million per house in Soc Son district.

Later, beauties visited an HIV/AIDS Prevention Centre in Ha Tay province and presented gifts to patients, granting VND500 million to train staff in the centre. The beauties are expected to visit Uong Bi, Quang Ninh province to continue charity activities in Vietnam.
