VND1.5 billion will be disbursed from the State Budget to improve local tourism infrastructure so that Vietnam can serve a total of 5.5-6 million foreign tourists and 25-25 million local holiday makers by 2010 with revenue of US$4–4.5 billion.

An orientation plan has been approved by the Government to develop tourism infrastructure until 2010 with a focus on developing local tourism in areas with national tourism sites and in Central and Central Highlands provinces and exploiting potential tourism sites.
