Egypt wants to promote comprehensive co-operation with Vietnam, particularly in economics and trade, said Egyptian Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif while receiving Vietnamese Vice President Truong My Hoa in Cairo on June 13.

PM Nazif said that Egypt and Vietnam should study possibilities of trade co-operation, focusing on potential import and export goods. He highly valued the results of the session of the Vietnam-Egypt Joint Committee in Cairo last March, and expressed his hope to boost co-operation with Vietnam in aquaculture.
The PM also spoke highly of the co-operation agreement between the two countries on bird flu prevention and poverty reduction.

For her part, Vice President Hoa thanked Egypt for its valuable assistance to Vietnam in the past struggle for national independence as well as the current national construction and development. She reiterated Vietnam's policy of diversification and multilateralisation of relations with foreign countries, and active international integration.

Vietnam attaches importance to boosting co-operation with traditional friendly countries, developing countries and non-aligned countries, including Egypt, the Vice President stressed.
