An arthroscopy surgery for a 17-year-old girl with a shoulder disease was successfully conducted in Ho Chi Minh City on June 21 with the assistance of experts from Singapore and Taiwan.

The operation of its type at An Sinh Hospital took place on the occasion of a national conference on trauma and orthopaedics in Ho Chi Minh City from June 21-25 with the attendance of about 800 local and foreign experts and doctors.

Beside major topics such as endoscopy and microsurgery, the conference will focus on the issue of deltoid muscular fibrosis and advise proper diagnosis and treatment methods to Vietnamese doctors.
