Duong Anh Vu won his group match in the semi-finals of the Asian Billiards 3-Carom Championship in Seoul.

Vu, seeded Number 31 in the world, now heads the group round. He beat the RoK’s Park Chun Woo, Number 46 in the world, 3-0 in the quarter-finals.

 

He was scheduled to play another Korean, Kim Kyung Roul, top seed for the tournament and Number 8 in the world, late on June 25.

 

Fellow Vietnamese Tran Chi Thanh was knocked out in the qualifying round by Asian Games champion Umeda Ryuuji of Japan.

 

The competition, which opened on June 23, has attracted 24 players, divided into four groups.
