New Vietlott lottery retailers open in Hanoi

VOV.VN -New lottery retailers opened on December 5 across the Hanoi metropolitan area and officials say the number of people trying their luck and buying lottery tickets is on the rise.

The Vietnam Lottery Company Vietlott launches a new computerized lottery game for the first time ever in Hanoi at 9 a.m.

The State-owned lottery company installs 150 terminals at each sales point.

Buyers of the lottery may select a six-number combination, at the price of US$0.45 (VND10,000) each, from a pool of whole numbers between one and 45.

The jackpot combination is randomly selected every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday at 6:00 p.m., and the pot is rolled over into the next lottery period should no winner emerge.

Apart from the jackpot, bonus prizes of up to US$446 (VND10 million) are awarded to those with three, four, or five numbers matching the jackpot combination.
